When you decide to bring a baby into this world, YOU are no longer first, your baby is. So therefore, you have to be willing to be committed and dedicated to do what you have to do in order for your baby or babies to have a fair chance at having a good upbringing. Ask yourself some important questions: Do you like to sleep in and don't like getting up early or throughout the night? Do you still love to party and stay out late? Do you enjoy doing drugs and alcohol? Do you have a lot of random people coming in and out of your home at all times of the day and night? Are you lazy and don't like to clean or cook? Are you one of those people that don't have a job and you're not planning on working either?
Does crying irritate you? Would you have a problem with changing dirty diapers, cleaning up spit and vomit, and staying up late if you're little one becomes sick? Do you have the patience to teach them how to hold their bottle or eat on their own when they get to that certain stage? What about when it's time to teach them how to walk? I hope you understand that there's potty training that comes along with raising a child as well. Children have to go to the doctors to get their shots and checkups and, when they get a little older, you're responsible for taking them to the dentist too.
There are SO many things that come with raising a child, please understand this. It's not all fun and games. I can't tell you how many people I've heard saying, "I can't wait to dress my little one in cute clothes." REALLY, that's it? Reality check! Dressing kids in cute clothes is at the bottom of the list, and depending on the age of the child, you'll have to change their clothes several times a day. God forbid if you have a child that's sickly. You're going to have to have the compassion, strength, and love to nurture them through. It's not promised that your child will be healthy. Many women have complications that are unforeseen.
So, does having a child before you're ready sound fun now? I don't think so. Make sure that you're ready to be a parent before you decide to bring a precious child into this world. It wouldn't be fair to them if you're not.
Think it through carefully. Having a child is NOT a game. It's a very serious decision that you're going to have to make. Make sure that you're prepared to put them first. You're children should not come second to what you still want to do.
